Lead Pastor: Adrian B. Compton
Starting in his mid-teens, Pastor Adrian B. Compton began ministering throughout the most impoverished countries of Central and South America, singing, preaching and serving the poor. God’s calling to ministry was very evident in Pastor Adrian’s life, yet he decided to take another path. After winning the International Talent search Buscando Estrellas (Star Search), Pastor Adrian embarked on a music career in the Latin music industry. He signed with Capital records and was produced by Selena’s father, Abraham Quintanilla. Recording several albums, Adrian, and his band Destino, toured for over 5 years.

After rededicating his life to his Savior and to full-time ministry, Pastor Adrian Compton received his Masters of Divinity from Oral Roberts University. In 2008, he became the Associate Evangelist of Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he also served as International Ministry Director and Associate Music Director. Pastor Adrian was a nightly guest on the International Christian television shows, The Place for Miracles and The Hour of Healing. Dr. Oral Roberts ordained and commissioned Pastor Adrian into the ministry just before his passing in 2009.

In 2013 Pastor Adrian founded Adrian Compton Ministries in 2009 and has ministered throughout the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Cuba, The United Kingdom, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Niger, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Australia. Pastor Adrian Compton founded Compassion Church in 2015. He married the love of his life Shelby in 2016 and have two daughters, Jacklyn and Brianna. Together, they love people and have dedicated their lives to serving them. Whether in spoken word or song, Pastor Adrian Compton shares God’s life-changing truth, touching those around him with God’s love, mercy and power.
Assistant Pastor: Donnie Herrera
Pastor Donnie earned his degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He owned and managed his own structural engineering firm for many years. While attending college, Pastor Donnie’s love for music led him to become a professional singer and musician, performing for many years across the state of Texas. Even while pursuing his academic and musical dreams, he knew that the hand of God was on his life in a very special way.
At the age of 18, Pastor Donnie received Christ as his Savior after seeing a Christian movie produced by the Billy Graham Ministries. Along with receiving Christ, he began to study God’s Word with a passion, never imagining the ministry God was preparing him for. Pastor Donnie soon became an ordained minister of the gospel and helped establish Compassion Church San Antonio. As Assistant Pastor, he is passionate in helping build the Kingdom of God and sharing and teaching the Word of God. From the moment you meet Pastor Donnie, you will see his genuine love of people, his grace, humility, and his compassion of Christ.
Pastor of Pastoral Care: Dr. Frank Ramos
Dr. Frank Ramos is a native of Lubbock, TX where he earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and where he met his beautiful wife of 32 years, Mary. They decided to move to San Antonio where Dr. Ramos received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UT Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School. Dr. Frank and Mary decided to make San Antonio their forever home, raising their two beautiful daughters here.
Pastor Frank and Mary have always had a passion and commitment to giving back to the community. They opened Absolute Dental Care, PLLC, in 1995 where Dr. Frank has made it a priority to provide affordable care for the community. In June of 2021, Pastor Frank was ordained and appointed Pastor of Pastoral Care. They also work with our weekly Life Group ministry leaders on teaching the Lord’s Word and coordinating various community outreach events.
